A Chinese antique chest from Gansu, China, crafted from pine wood approximately 100 years ago. The piece retains its original painted details, with natural fading, surface wear, and age marks that reflect decades of use.

Originally made as a traditional storage chest, it has been thoughtfully modified with added legs, raising the piece to a more practical height for use in a contemporary home. The generous 151 cm width provides ample storage while also allowing it to function as a low console, hallway piece, or storage cabinet in a living or dining area.

The original painted decoration remains the highlight of the piece, giving each surface its own aged character and making this a distinctive example of Chinese antique furniture from Gansu.
