A Chinese antique coffee table from Shaoxing, China, crafted from catalpa wood approximately 100 years ago. Originally made as a taller table, the piece has been thoughtfully modified to coffee-table height while preserving its original wood character and traditional details.

The square top features woven rattan framed by aged catalpa wood, adding natural texture while keeping the table practical for everyday use. Four drawers provide useful storage for remote controls, books, coasters, and other living-room essentials, while subtle carved details beneath the drawers add a traditional Chinese touch.

At 49 cm high, the table is well proportioned for use in a living room, and its generous 95 × 93 cm surface offers plenty of space for serving, books, or decorative objects. The original wood finish retains natural colour variation, surface wear, and patina developed over many decades.
