A one-of-a-kind Chinese daybed, newly made in Zhejiang, China, using antique elm wood carved panels repurposed as the backrest. The old panels retain their original carving details and aged character, giving each piece a look that cannot be reproduced exactly.
The main structure is crafted from pine wood in a clean, practical size suitable for a living room, bedroom, entrance hall, or a quiet seating corner. Style it with a seat cushion and decorative pillows to create comfortable occasional seating while allowing the antique carvings to remain visible.
This piece brings together reclaimed Chinese furniture details and a newly made structure, offering the character of antique Chinese woodwork with the practicality needed for everyday use.
