Chinese Antique Cabinet with Rattan Panels

Share

A tall Chinese antique cabinet from Ningbo, China, crafted from fir wood approximately 100 years ago. The cabinet has been carefully hand-restored in an antique green lacquer finish, allowing natural age marks and areas of the original wood to remain visible.

The four doors feature woven rattan front panels, adding warmth and texture while softening the cabinet’s generous proportions. Inside, the cabinet offers spacious shelving together with additional small drawers for organising tableware, linens, books, clothing, or everyday household items. Three exterior drawers provide further storage for smaller pieces.

Its practical layout makes it suitable as a dining room cabinet, linen cupboard, bedroom storage, or a statement piece in a living room or entrance hall. The combination of aged green lacquer, natural rattan, and traditional Ningbo detailing gives the cabinet a distinctive character while remaining easy to use in a contemporary home.
